Yeah, I've read it. Again an easy to read piece, that's down to earth and not " high brow" in the slightest.
A good change from the likes of Pat Kane and his rather intense, overly philosophically tracts that would be better gracing a sort of "pseudes corner", a la private eye

Yeah, I've been known to struggle to keep up with Pat's rhetoric at times, to be honest. Probably because I'm not as academically smart as he is and I don't 'get' a lot of his references. I'm not ashamed to admit that!
But, Nota, I've aye found him to be a thoroughly decent man of good humour plus a heart very much in the right place. And a fucking stunningly good singer and songwriter.

And a fucking stunningly good singer and songwriter. <just my opinion..> I was never really a fan of hue n cry, then a few years after the height of their fame, I saw them do an acoustic set at the arts guild theatre in greenock. They were tremendous, far superior to their more commercial persona. When yer trying to sell poetical ideas like independence, using obscure philosophers to back up ones ideas is a bit OTT. |
