Trump doesn't need to import reptiles. He only has to look in the mirror.
A fact that those close to him have shied away from telling him for oh.........decades now.

Jury's out, Oz. Personally I don't think there's enough evidence of global warming yet, given we've only been measuring stats for 30-40 years...but I'm willing to look at solid evidence. We've had some (slightly) odd weather here in Scotland this past 10 years or so but it would take more to convince me it's no more than a tiny blip in weather patterns. This year we had an early spring followed by a damp and cold summer, a fairly mild autumn and now very stormy wet and windy conditions through November. Pretty much 100% what you'd expect for Scotland.

Gees this is trivia
Of course Climate changes it has been varying for millions of years. To say man can vary it is ludicrous specially based on 40 of 50 years records. We know some of the recorded data was altered to suit theories (Mannes hockey stick for example)
Looking at recorded and documented history and indisputable say last 1,000 years
Norse settlements in Greenland (11th to 15th century) where they cultivated cereals (oats & barley mostly) before they abandoned settlements as it got too cold to grow crops. They still cant grow crops there so it must have been warmer then to say otherwise is a no brainer.
Mini Ice ages (17th to 19th centuries) Thames freezing over regularly and Loch Lomond too
We have been coming out of that mini ice age throughout most of last century though world temperatures seem to have stalled in last 18 years.
As well as these major periods there have been minor fluctuations that are on an irregular cycle somewhere between 10 and 30 years. Easy way to check is house building and styles around Glasgow in last 150 years. It is easy to see the warmer and colder periods.
Wow things I remember from "the Built Environment"
Having demonstrations yelling "give us Money" does no good. They had similar demonstration when the calendar was changed, the great unwashed demanded their "lost day" back, just as sensible

Gotta laff, the Met Office is now *naming* every Atlantic storm over the UKE. What is THAT about? Pathetic. It's like saying our normal, expected winter storms now have comparable status to hurricanes which is bloody RIDICULOUS-- and totally out of proportion. And I may say a total insult to those who suffer seriously bad, destructive storms. It's a wee bit windy out there again tonight. Apparently that's STORM DESMOND. Oooh, the fecking hysteria... We'll be at Zachary or Zoe by this time next week. It's winter, in Scotland after all.

I mean, a couple of plastic flower tubs went airborne here in G12 last night, it was HELL, I tell you, HELL! Jeezo, Nota, that must be some size of a * puppy* right enough. I'm 52kg wi' three jumpers, two perra socks and a big jaikit! I feel dead sorry for the folks in Cumbria who've got the worst of this with the flooding an all. Here's hoping they ask some questions of David Cameron's mob at Westminster who cut subsidy for flood defences. Hardly rocket bloody science that we have winter storms and few feet of rainfall in 24 hours, is it? D'oh.

You will recognise place Rolo www.youtube.com/watch?v=fOHWWrtDQ7kHell yes I do, Oz One day in late July, me, Mr R and the two stepsons (then 5 and 3) ventured out those rocks, perfectly calm day and next thing---BAM! huge wave out of nowhere. We were dead lucky cos we saw it rolling in, gathered the kids up and ran away. Never underestimate the power of the sea. Check out these guys in Galway yesterday---FFS!!! www.irishtimes.com/young-men-dive-into-raging-sea-in-galway-during-storm-desmond-1.2456061And this MARVELLOUS report by Trish Mannion of RTE. Girl deserves an award for sheer passion and professionalism: she is FAB! www.youtube.com/watch?v=kGeoXG2V_kkAll calm tonight hereabouts. Not for long I bet.
