Apparently the Yank claes shoap Gap has run into a kerfuffle with its new logo - they spent millions and then dropped it and reverted back to the old logo within a week. Why? Because of a backlash from the chattering classes online, who really do seem to have nothing better to do than fret over a company logo... www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-11517129"..."It's a fundamental error because customers may not be ready to go with you. The product positioning has to change first, then the logo should be the last thing." What a load of RUBBEESH! Who the hell gives a monkeys?? Folk are awfy stupid.

Ah, another Mash fan. At last As for GAP, not only are the clothes crap style-wise, they use sweatshop labour. I don't do GAP, I don't do Starbucks, McDos, Asda/Walmart--- those big US conglomerates don't get a cent of my hard-earned on principle. I DO do Apple but that's wayyyy different.

It's pretty damned impossible to shop over here without going to a comglomerate. We have tried to buy American products only, but that's also nearly impossible.

Same here P, most British brands are made in cheap manufacturin countries nowadays, unless you go very expensive. The only things I wear that are British are my dress shoes which are made by Loake - traditional leather uppers and soles. Even my (USA) Vans trainers are made somewhere cheap, at one time you could pay a premium and get USA made ones but no longer, sam ewith my Timberland boots

Hello, excuse me Oz... ahem... don't forget UGG Australia? Easily the best known Ozzie brand to us these days.
The bog-standard versions are in every High St shop here in Scotland, retailing at between £100-190. Then in certain selected 'booteeks' (as JJ would say) the even-better models retail at £250-£300.
My first (leather) pair aren't even starting to wear out after five hard Scottish winters. They were expensive at first sure, but works out at £30 a year thus far. Bargain!
I'm after the UGG slippers from Santa this year---but at £45 per foot, they BETTER be bloody good :-)
