A big metal thing that carries 80 people about their daily business. Laughing out loud seeing people stuck in non-bus lanes in single occupancy cars. £60 a week in fuel, and thousands a year on repayments and insurance, paying out for the privilege of parking---- versus £33 a month for a bus ticket? Hello?

A bus is also a vehicle that is never available at the time required and is seldom going to where you want to go. Takes a lot longer to get there than a car.
OK if just commuting to work in city and back but not much use for anything else.

I wonder how many sick days are lost in a year with, busses, trains, trams underground planes etc., the public spread of infection must be very high and International pandemics will probably be caused by plane travel?

I'm not sure about that, Bormes. It's no accident, shirley, that there's been a huge increase in allergies, asthsma etc in young people since sealing them off in car-bubbles has become the new norm. Kids don't get to build up their immune system as they're no longer as exposed to everyday viruses and bacteria. Certainly true of air travel though, if not the others so much, cos you're breathing in stale, recycled air for hours at a time.

They are blaming super-market trolley handles for spread of germs now But of course, people up in arms about what's actually just fucking normal. Call the compo lawyers, quick!... Any surface in any public place is gonna be hoaching wi germs and bacteria. No change there then. The only difference is that kids are being isolated from perceived risk to the point where their immune systems are totally fecked. Some parents are so up themselves believing the constant exhortations of global bleach salesmen that we've become paranoid. That plus double glazing, wall to wall carpeting and being taxied everywhere in cars, no wonder kids are getting allergies in such numbers. Bah, bah and thrice, BAH

Here it's quite normal for our young folks to go out in shorts, flipflops and vest tops the minute the sun comes out, which occurs most often in December, January and March. That the ambient temperature is -5 is of no consequence, apparently. We have Help Buses in Glasgow city centre who give out tinfoil blankets to freezing hordes on a night out. The wans that forgot their jaikits in mid winter.......... ;D
