Today absolutely gorgeous morning so I decided to go for a walk along Dee Why front. Lots of families and little kids but spoiled by middle aged men cyclists on their expensive mountain bikes and lycra suits riding along footpaths and share paths disregarding everyone. Reckon most were going thru' middle age crisis but couldnt afford a Harley Davidson or wife wouldnt let them buy one and they werent fit enough to go road riding. They spoil a pleasant outing for everyone. Dont know about UK but these cyclists here are an arrogant bunch of bastards so far up themselves they are nearly inside out. They just dont give a damn about anyone else.

Glasgow's not a great city for cyclists, the roads are busy and congested; there's very few cycle lanes, and hunners of potholes. So they take to the pavement. Which annoys the hell out of me too (grumpy old woman...) Drivers hate cyclists around here and cyclists hate pedestrians. Far better to take a lesson from Northern European cities I think. Make room for everyone, there's far too many cars with single occupants on the road, in my view. We have bike stations now, Oz. Brought in all over the city for Commonwealth Games last summer and boy, they were seriously used. We also have electric car stations all over city centre too, bloody good idea. Attachments:

Thats the City Chambers? I think
Yes we have bike racks too. Sydney lord mayor a complete nutter has put in cycle lanes throughout the city to encourage people to cycle to work. She doesnt she travels by chauffeur driven limo. No one else does either. Lack of shower facilities on most office blocks. Gees imagine having to work beside someone who has just cycled to work on a hot Sydney morning YUCK be like the London Tube
As for single people in cars I was one and worked irregular hours so that precluded pooling also needed car to go places during day.AND to make matters worse I drove Ford Falcons with 4 litre Straight 6 motor. It was comfortable and built for long distances

Before we were all conditioned to buy a wee car. Now the tail wagging the dog people want us to get public transport. That will help spread the colds flu etc., We are even taxed to help the air quality, that really helps, one volcanic eruption produces more shit than all the shit from all the combustion engines to date! Therefore we need bicycles eh?? The money we earned and paid tax on means we wish to drive our vehicle and as far as I can see, it should be up to us NOT some pc or tree hugging mutant. I am all for clean air, therefore it is up to Governments to force manufacturers to make clean vehicles and right now, they COULD have all sorts of PUBLIC use vehicles already electric or hybrid!!

Tim Blair Unlike certain European nations, we take border protection very seriously in Australia: Not as seriously as Austria, clearly. Bejasus though. There's some mighty bad talk going on just now in both Europe and USA courtesy THE MOST AWFUL PEOPLE in Ukip and of course the serious danger to everyone everywhere on the globe that is DONALD TRUMP. He's a joke that's gone too far now.
