Dont know what it says about us or Harry
Yesterday on the way between an army base and an airfield Harry and another guy popped into a bakery to get a snack. The Vietnamese owner, a lady, had no idea who he was "we get so many soldiers in here" until a reporter who had been following Harry raced in to find out what he had said and bought.
He had no escort just the 2 of them and apart, from a couple of reporters, no one pestered him with everyone leaving him alone to get on with it.
The Vietnamese lady, who incidentally spoke with an Aussie accent, said the phone had been running hot all day with reporters asking her questions (she didnt say damn fool questions but you could hear it in her voice over the radio)

I kinda feel sorry for Harry, by all accounts a decent young guy that happened to be born "royal".
Get the distinct feeling that he and his brother would rather just live a life more ordinary, somehow.
Not the case for the legions of hangers on and distant rellies who are of course on benefits, at taxpayer expense!

Though we support Governor General and his staff and supply him with a couple of houses. In his words "nice digs"

Do not agree with anyone living off the state. Pay the Queen per job Live off and repair their own properties. We will NEVER have a classless society until they are no longer in power.

Young Harry Hewitt is out in Oz apparently on an inter-army exchange gig - aye right, no business or entity worth their salt would send an employee on such a thing who was resigning their position next month His dad must be so proud..........

Glasgow summer=Glasgow winter with a bit more daylight.
Not much, mind.
Bloody awful this end, Oz. Rain of biblical proportions.

Real trivia!!
There is a "flavours" factory about half a mile from here and when we have a light SE wind, most unusual, we get the most tantalising smells. We have that just now and its making me feel starving .
Its vanilla I think

Think yersel lucky! Vanilla is it?
Hereaboots, with a rare SE wind, we get *Eau de Wellpark*, courtesy of the Tennents brewery in Duke St.
HOP-TASTIC!
Suffice to say no enterprising local company's developed the Wellpark scented candle, can't think why.
