In Ashoka earlier, I saw a guy that looked a bit like Bormes 'from the back' firing down the lane with a pal. Completely discounted it as thought B was still in France.
If it was you, Bormes-- hell, chez Rolo and the Aussie boy would've come find you to say hi!

Not. During my timeOz, I spoke to serving Lads at last weekend and funnily enough they mentioned a PERENTIE? Apparently a six wheeler? I am not sure if they all are but they certainly have a GREAT reputation amongst our SF Lads.

Only in Oz and in particular Brisbane G20 summit On Friday evening 2 leaders made friends, Markels of Germany went walkabout around central Brisbane and ended up in a pub having a beer, shaking hands and talking to locals apparently she just wanted too Anna Markels and new friends On same evening though from a different hotel the President & mrs President of Mexico decided to to the same, with minimum security. They ended up having a mea; and a drink with the locals. Mrs Pres really wowed them she was courteous and very friendly as well as being beautiful. Mrs Pres with owner of the Jade Buddha restaurant It says a lot for the Brisbanites that they could do this without being hassled and in safety. I dont think they could have done that in teir respective countries

Buffalo, NY, yes? Lordy, they've had some snow and a half on the Eastern Seaboard this week, haven't they? I love how some make a drama out of a crisis while others just, you know, get on with it.

Up that way anyway if not Buffallo. A certain lady that occsasionally posts here reckons that most Northerners just get "on with it" without any drama. Its good to see some people keep sense of humour Bit different in "Houses for Sale" just after the last Brisbane floods a house, near Beenleigh, was advertised as

Hmm, my friend/sister-in-law's ancient old Dad is in NY state somewhere, so I hope he's all right. Lives in some sort of old folk semi-independent but sheltered housing set-up, so one hopes somebody is keeping a lookout for frozen old 90whatever year-old guys.

For frustrated steam engine drivers. Lithgow Zig Zag built i n late 1800s to climb over the Great Dividing range from the Western Plains to Sydney.. Climbed the Blue Mountains Escarpment from Lithgow in valley up to top of escarpment in a series of zig-zags A short film www.youtube.com/watch?v=50LDT3ezG_0

Scottish Tact!!!! (bloody typical)
The Black Watch pipe band was touring US several years ago and when they visited Washington the Pipe Major was asked if they (the band) had visited Washington before.
The Pipe Major with the normal Scottish finesse and tact said they had in 1814 when they sacked the place and burnt most of the Public buildings to the ground except for the US Marine barracks (dont ask me why) MMMMM On mature reflection it may have been HLI, sounds like a bunch of Rangers supporters
Incidentally the US Marines have only been beaten in battle once and that at the Battle of Bladensburg (AKA Bladensburg Races) by a smaller Brit Army immediately prior to the capture of Washington.
Arent you glad I told you??

Ah the famous Scottish sensitivity.
Its a bit like being invited into someone's house as a guest and saying the last time you were there you trashed the place. How to win friends and influence people
Best have said they had a very successful tour a while back and left it at that

Nope, sorry, Oz-- just not seeing what you're getting at here. Or why.
