Good on Dominic West for his speech tonight on winning Lead Actor for Appropriate Adult (a dramatisation of a difficult subject, the hideous crimes of Fred and Rose West- no relation ). You could sense his hesitation before he went for it; to draw people's attention back to the young victims of twisted sexual crime. But well said, that man! But........wtf were Bafta THINKING to have two complete nonentities from some Essex reality show give out an award? THAT was embarrassing, nay, cringeworthy. It was good to see Scot Steven Moffat win for Dr Who and Sherlock Holmes. And Jennifer Saunders in great form after her recent serious illness. Derren Brown got best entertainment programme. Me and my aspirational psychology grad are Derren afficionados-------but yet........I'da given it to Harry Hill for TV Burp, easily the most entertaining show on TV. No nominations for Graham Norton, which surprised me.
