Well, I suppose we are all dying, really. Life being a sexually transmitted disease that is 100% fatal. ;D Yeah, I see what you mean, though. It's sad but he does leave quite some legacy. Oh heck, if I started off being flippant, might as well get worse and lower the tone further. A bit childish, I suppose, but this Youtube video, made for his 2010 birthday, amused me. www.youtube.com/watch?v=e1IxOS4VzKM
[/b] Apparently the man himself liked it too. Edited. Reason for edit: because it was too messy the first time

Other things he liked included libraries. I worry lest his 2009 remark become all too relevant very soon.. www.nytimes.com/2009/06/20/us/20ventura.htmlAnd if public libraries continue to be downgraded, then what? Oh, I am very off topic and I'm sorry. R.I.P Ray Bradbury. I'm glad that he did live so long, and that is seems he kept a bright intelligence and fierce sense of humour till the end.

Personally I'm pretty pissed off at that 'birthday vid' that was posted. Distinctly unpleasant. She's one of these modern sorts who calls herself a 'comedian' who's not funny in the slightest. Emperor's new clothes.

I've tried and tried with Ray Bradbury, cos the boyf is a major fan of him... but I just ain't interested in anything he writes about. His topics to my mind are preposterous and unimportant, his writing deeply unengaging. Tiresome.
I know there are millions out there who see him as a genius... I just don't get it.

Sci-fi only appeals to folks who can't actually hack it here on earth...and resort to fantasy. Men, in other words... Phasers set to stun......give it warp factor 5 , Scotty.... ;D Can't begin to handle earthly doings so lets just fuck off into hyperspace... Escapism's fine---- but be honest about it! It ain't genius. It's.... escapism. I'm sure Mr Bradbury was a lovely person and it's good to live to 91.
