OK, the Scottish skies are leaden for the seventh week running. The garden's waterlogged, the roof's leaking. We've never been out of waterproof winter gear all 'summer'.... I battled (again) up Cleveden Hill tonight against the flood waters that're now giving it pond on Great Western at Hyndland Road. The rain was SO hard today it hurt ma head Let's have some feelgood music! Post your suggestions here, I'll kick it off with this; www.youtube.com/watch?v=_jLGa4X5H2cand a bit of this; www.youtube.com/watch?v=dN3GbF9Bx6E

Hmmm. I've never heard this - or even heard of this - before. Certainly a title that I'd be interested in hearing. Nice.

...ack. And a finish. He is the one who has made it the case for me that I greatly enjoy (not the right word but I can't think of any closer) being immersed in melancholy, in this city. From the first minute I ever heard him; that day the rain pelted down against the red stone building (Grieve's) outside the window at Nico's.... when I was supposed to be on a preparatory visit to the uni but had snuck off to secretly rendezvous with the forbidden bloke (twice my age) with whom I was deeply in love...

'Night Mister Walters... ...meh... www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1QJ8ijnNxM&feature=related"I remember being three or four years old. I remember my parents watching this show... hearing this song as i went to sleep... feeling this sense of comfort. Hearing it now gives me the same feeling; a feeling that everything is gonna be okay."

He Who Walks Amongst Us would be saddened, I know, if the melancholy was not tempered by joy, good humour and optimism. ;D That's all.
