Blimey. What's the odds on that?? Slightly off-topic but anyway; at 18 I went on my first solo trip to visit my aunt in Vancouver. On the plane home, I was sat across the aisle from a nice looking young guy. I was shy then, so didn't pluck up the courage to speak to him all the way to Winnipeg. After a 6 hour stop, who gets on the plane to Prestwick but himself. Again, we never spoke, well my dad did warn me not to speak to strange men... So gets on bus to Glasgow, check in at home with the folks and go meet friends later in GUU bar. Who walks in but himself. At which point we both cracked up, incredulous. And finally got talking.

Now there's a story......! "... Reader, I married him!"

There is a new petition to the UN titled “Petition to Ban the Use of Dihydrogen Monoxide (DHMO)”
At Con cum almost every delegate that was approached signed the petition to ban that all too dangerous substance, which contributes to the greenhouse effect amongst other things
1. it can cause excessive sweating and vomiting 2. it is a major component in acid rain 3. it can cause severe burns in its gaseous state 4. accidental inhalation can kill 5. it contributes to erosion 6. it decreases effectiveness of automobile brakes 7. it has been found in tumors of terminal cancer patients 8. It is an essential ingredient in the production of nuclear power
It is used extensively in Agriculture & Horticulture .Large amounts can be found in our Lakes, resevoirs & rivers. Most of the food we eat contain varying amounts of it.

Ye Gods Woman calls emergency line to report stolen snowman December 6, 2010
A UK woman calls police emergency over the theft of her snowman outside her house.
An English woman has infuriated police after calling their emergency line to report the theft of a snowman.
The woman, from Kent, in south-east England, reportedly thought the theft was worth telling police about because she had used £1 coins ($1.60) for its eyes and teaspoons for its arms, according to Britain's Daily Mail newspaper.
Police have released a transcript of the woman's conversation with the 999 emergency line operator in a bid to show people what does and what does not constitute an emergency. Advertisement: Story continues below
"It was completely irresponsible," Chief Inspector Simon Black, from Kent police, said.
"We have spoken to her and advised her what is a 999 call, and this clearly is not."
According to the transcript, the woman tells the operator: "There's been a theft from outside my house".
"I haven't been out to check on him for five hours but I went outside for a fag and he's gone," she says.
The operator tries to clarify: "Who's gone?" and the woman says: "My snowman".
"I thought that with it being icy and there not being anybody about, he'd be safe," she says.
The operator asks her: "Do you mean an ornament?" and the woman replies: "No, a snowman made of snow, I made him myself".
"He had two of my teaspoons on his arms and money on his face.
"I'm not being funny, I know it's only a snowman but I thought he'd be fine, what with it being icy and that people ain't been walking up and down the road.
"It ain't a nice road but at the end of the day you don't expect someone to nick your snowman, do you know what I mean?"
The operator ends the call after telling the woman that she has called an an emergency line and she should not be ringing it to report the theft of a snowman.
