This isn't uk justice, its actually English justice, he was tried, convicted and sentenced under the English legal system. It is wholly separate from the Scots legal system.
There is no such thing as the " British justice" it's either English justice or Scottish justice, not British justice.

Regardless of who has passed this sentence, it is completely over the top, frankly why was he even jailed at all? Every week at football or rugby matches there is worse happening, why single him out? Probably because of WHO he was demonstrating about. It is still the old boy network in England for the wealthy and they do NOT like being shown up for what they are.

Even under Engish law it can be challenged too, it is not a decision cast in stone. Far from it. The Home Office do not have a monopoly on being correct, either in practice, in law or even in the process.

Well call me cynical............but this boy would have had a fairer hearing in Scotland I BET. He was basically objecting to upper class toff entitlement shite and good on him I say. Though if he indeed was an expectant father I for one might question his risk taking behaviour swimming out on the Thames in danger of some Oxbridge undergrad smiting him on the head with an oar and all that.............. But as everyone here's already said there's one rule for anyone who attacks the 'establishment' and that's get em tae. Is it any FECKING WONDER we sane smart Scots want away? I think not.
