I read it and the response. I reckon the guy must have been dropped on his head when he was a baby. Read his bio its weird very muddled
Thought Scottish response was too restrained and polite.
He is a good advert for Scotland breaking away

He is a good advert for Scotland breaking away And there's the rub, Oz. The Tories are terribly confused: on the one hand, they don't want to relinquish the North Sea wealth because it will mean a huge drop in tax to Westminster coffers. And thus it will be found out just how huge a contribution Scotland makes to the UKE. And they're absolutely sh*tting themselves over the prospect of losing whisky tax revenue too. But at the same time, they kinda WANT Independence because it practically guarantees that the Labour Party will die a death without Scottish support and therefore a Tory government for the foreseeable future in England. Simon Heffer WANTED an angry response, he WANTED us to give it similar hate-fuelled bile just so's he could prove his point that Indy's about hating the English. I have news for him: we're one HELL of a lot smarter than that  |

Jeffers is a well ridiculed right wing prick wae delusions of prominence, relevance and respect.
He's well known for making a complete arse of himself, whither it be homophobia or just downright lying
Here's what he had to say about the hillsborough victims
"Blame the Hooligans, Not The Stadiums: The problems at Hillsborough, though Taylor was reluctant to say it, was one of hooliganism. However much it may outrage Liverpool, 95 Liverpool fans were killed by the thuggishness and ignorance of other Liverpool fans crushing into the ground behind them. It serves no purpose to prevent the fans who caused the crush from facing that responsibility"
He's never, apologised for that slur either.
He's basically just a prick who courts controversy in the hope of increasing sales. Hardly worth crossing the street to psh on if he was on fire, the gene pool would only improve if he croaked tomorrow

I notice in his biog he attendes Corpus Christi College Cambridge. He doesnt list his degrees.
I know in my limited biog I list all my qualifications to try & impress people enough to give me work.
I wonder if I would be right in drawing the obvious conclusion as to why he hasnt mentioned any

We all know Hillsborough was a dramatic, tragic failure of systems management, from the decision to 'cage' opposing fans to a hugely serious failure of emergency services, not ambulance but police control. Don't start me. Heffer judges from the ivory towers, a man privileged by wealth, a really downright nasty individual. The mystery really is why he's given a platform to issue his bile. And again, there's the rub. |
