Thing One: Within 48 hours of the DEC appeal for the victims of the Philippines typhoon, £30 million pounds has been donated by ordinary people in the UKE.
Thing Two: Today, £26 million pounds has been donated by ordinary people in the UKE to Children in Need.
Thing Three: Thousands of people, including local authorities, made a terminally ill five year old's wishes come true today in San Fransisco.
People are inherently decent. We need to keep reminding ourselves of how much we can achieve if we just pull together in the face of the few that'd try to divide and rule.
OH yes.

In addition to Rolos additional things here not of world shattering proportions.
1 Indian taxi driver in Melbourne finds bag containing over $100,000 in cash and a lot of casino chips. was heading back to casino to try and locate owners as he thought they would be worried when he got a radio call asking any driver who found the bag to take it to the owners hotel. He did ,got $500 reward. They offered him more but he refused.
2. Neighbours rescue 2 ladies trapped in burning flat. some neighbours had to be treated for burns
3 Guy fell down cliff onto rocks and broke both legs, a 16 year old kid climbed down cliff made guy as comfortable as possible and used his body to shield the injured guy from waves until chopper arrived . He refused a ride out in rescue helicopter as he was scared of heights and scaled the cliff instead
4. Help given to bush fire victims, people loathe to claim coz others are worse off than they are.
The inherent goodness & generosity of ordinary people never fails to impress me.
