Well, it's been a while coming. ;D Yeah, I'm not generally big on global brands/High St franchising/homogenisation etc but.........
I do like HRC, because it celebrates music. I like how they customise each branch to promote the local scene and how they promote good music and videos while ensuring the artists get paid.
So, Glasgow opened tonight. It's fitting, I think, that HRC have spent a lot of money investing in the development of the derelict former Atheneum (music school) building on Buchanan/Nelson Mandela corner.
On arriving, customers are asked what music they'd like to hear and subsequently their choices are played on video on the big screens. Food's not half bad (if not cheap)-- so good for a memorable special occasion.

Hard Rock Glasgow start live gigs in January, Sir Henry! Donated geetars on the walls, sure, but a commitment to promoting live music cannae be bad...
