Hell, I hope he pulls through from this horrible-sounding brain injury.
You can hardly credit it, the guy's been the 7 times world champion F1 driver, with barely a scratch in the course of his hugely risky career.
And now this; in a coma due to a head injury at the skiing. How bloody awful for him and his, specially his wee son that was with him at the time.

Didnt Jim Clarke do the same killed in a silly car accident not on race track?

I think so, yes.
Colin McRae, the world-famous Scottish rally driver, died along with his young son, his son's friend and his father, when piloting his private helicopter over Lanarkshire a couple of years ago.
I guess some are just prepared to take on supreme risks and when they survive over time, come to believe they're invincible. Yet we all need risk-takers or else we'd have the status quo ad infinitum...
