Dr Kate Stone, who was on holiday in the area, was badly injured by the trapped animal. Poor woman, what an unforeseeable accident. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-highlands-islands-25570525As it turns out, the garden belongs to my friend and colleague Jim Hunter, musician and songwriter, who, amongst many other things, works for us as a mentor to young musicians in the Highlands. It turns out he and friends had been jamming at the local Lochailort Inn, and Jim, being hale fellow well met, had invited everyone in the company back to his place down the road. As they opened the gate to his place the stag rushed out past them, hitting the woman. Can't imagine how bad that must have been for her, him and everyone present, but glad to hear the paramedics got there fast, and the Southern General sent the air ambulance up to bring her to hospital. Here's wishing Kate Stone a speedy recovery. Life's so fragile, isn't it.
