Thanks for asking! The boy's struggling a bit with the most everyday stuff, getting dressed, showering, carrying things, taking uni notes, etc. Both me and Ms Rolo had fractures of wrist/fingers from falling on the ice a few years back and you do realise TOOTSWEET how even mildly disabling these things can be.. Ms Rolo ventured back to the gym earlier, took this snap of the weights, they do look pretty dangerous if dropped on hand! No idea what the big melon thing's about, though....pilates probably... I gave my right haun tae be ambidextrous - never again though..........
I've been told of a new "cure" for stiffness and arthritic type pains, my aunt who has pretty bad arthritis in her hauns n fingers was on huge doses of diclofenac ( anti-inflammatory) a friend told her about this
Take a bag of sultannas ( the yellower the better) soak them in gin for about a week, the gin will be gone in that time - then take a spoonful of them every day - this may have to be a continuous exercise though
My aunt has been doing this since xmas - she now no longer usees the anti-inflammatory, she has no pain whatsoever, the joint swelling has gone down remarkably and teh stiffness is almost gone
her friend/colleague has been taking this for two years and is completely ok now
I can start mine tonight - I'll let you know how it goes

I was on huge doses of diclofenac to help me back on my feet after my broken back incident. It worked really well at the outset but it can be toxic to the liver so was I only on it for a short time. Got enough benefit to graduate to two crutches, then one, then a stick for another month or two. So it has its uses!  Sultanas and gin sound much more palatable! |

Back to the wee baby: This is a ridiculous, shameful state of affairs.  It's now only PAPERWORK that's stopping this wee one being escorted to Glasgow. It's not clear if the delay's at the UKE or the Pakistan end. Alex Neil MP has confirmed our NHS will treat him. The doctors here and in Peshawar have liaised over his treatment. Thousands of pounds have been raised by Scots to help with travel expenses. This wee one is clinging on to life and in danger of serious infection and treatment's being delayed by PAPERWORK? Wouldn't vodka work? I can't stand gin. Nah, peony got to be gin, something to do with the juniper I think. I can assure you though, that once they have soaked the gin in, they don't taste or smell of gin in the slightest As mentioned, plenty of info on it all if you google. Hope you know what sultanas are, I thought maybe you guys called them something different, yellow raisins or such |

Vodka's distilled differently but if it's your tipple of choice, maybe worth a shot, Peony! Cos I have to say I'm a big believer in the theory that a moderate amount of alcohol taken frequently, (especially red wine), reduces inflammation generally. And any brief respite from niggling pain has to be good in my book  |

Update: - Been on the sultannas soaked in gin since Friday night - I'm taking a desertspoon spoonful once a day. No hint of gin whatsoever either smell or taste.
They taste rather like a xmas pudding with that kinda alcohol after taste you get.
