I was just perusing Sir Henry's latest pics with a view to changing the forum image to something more reflective of the current climate here in the WE... Then I saw the weather forecast for tomorrow.... As you were!

I like it Get Sir Hank to show rain stoatin aff ra causies in Ashton Lane for a typical WE scene with young lassies wi' lang legs huddled under brollies. Actually I never been in Aston Lane though I think we did up the Curlers in Byers road seem to remember a bow front with small "bull's eye" window panes. Prob b4 any of you mob were drinking age

Yeah, totally fecked that image up there... never mind, maybe Sir Hank could oblige with a pic of Curlers' Rest if he happens to be passing by soonish? It did actually snow a bit earlier, didn't lie though here, in the WE. But it's cauld enough for a wee bit more overnight I think.... Pretty nasty conditions out in Glasgow today, uber-wet but only the tail end of the storm that's battering our neighbours on the West coast of England, Wales and Ireland. South East of England's been hit badly in recent days. Probably fair to say the property developers and mortgage lenders who encouraged folks to live on flood plains don't actually give a flying one.

Pretty bad out there tonight, even in Glasgow city centre. Sleet, a bit of snow, high winds and very very cold. On the way up Cleveden Hill earlier it was one step forward, three back.
F*ck knows how bad in less sheltered parts.
Nothing particularly new though. We're kinda used to winter behaving like winter in Scotland.
To our eternal good fortune we don't have to cope with tsunamis, hurricanes, typhoons, earthquakes, volcanoes, et al.
<counts blessings as wrings out coat, hat, gloves, boots, troosers..>
Stay safe, everyone.

A bit windier than normal here but terribly strong ( but strong enough that we couldnae put the awning out to allow us to use the hot tub without getting pelted by sleet n rain - pah!
