This July'll see me pitching up for work for my 20th consecutive year (out of 21...!) Never seen Pharrell Williams live so that's gonna be my highlight this year, I think. His collaboration with Daft Punk and Nile Rodgers on *Get Lucky* last year was one of the best records ever made, IMO ANYWAYS, thought you might enjoy this version of his single *Happy*-- recorded in Camp Bastion, Afghanistan, starring The Royal Regiment of Scotland. Home safe, guys! www.youtube.com/watch?v=-GktdwlWma0

The management team stays pretty much the same year on year, Nota, we just pitch up at Balado unless we've been actively sacked (and I haven't been yet, as far as I know... ) Minimum 12 hour days, on show days nearer 18, so yeah us 55+ folks need to have mighty amounts of stamina. But we're well looked after in return. I might request a transfer over to Welfare after this year though, just working the four event days. The main oil pipe from the North Sea to Grangemouth runs deep under a small corner of the Balado site but it's very simple to reconfigure the festival site; and the licence was granted by P&K council last week, so it's business as usual.
