Check THIS out! www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-26370484I have to say though, a jail term seems a bit OTT not to mention expensive, though maybe there's things we've not been told about the guy. Seems to me he has valuable skills as a plumber: would it not have been better to impose a Community Service Order that compelled him to carry out plumbing work for charities/social housing tenants/housing associations, maybe?

Price of food around these here parts, it'd hardly be surprising, Oz Anyways, talking about silly sentencing, this morning on the TV news a guy was jailed for 5 years for drunk-driving. The polis video'd him weaving about the highway. Likely had they not stopped him he could've killed himself and others. But..just seems really odd to me that he got 5 years when we see rapists and other sex offenders getting away with 2,3,4 years. Also, people that embezzle money often get longer sentences than sex offenders. Very strange.

Agree with Rolo that sex offenders get very very light sentences but that has always reflected what legal people are often like, judges etc., how many priests have had life sentences?
