The march kicks off at 11am from George Square, followed by the rally there at 12 noon. I took the wean to her first (and only, so far..) march and rally when she was about 7 (to protest the Iraq war) and she's coming along with me tomorrow----- as a voting adult. I've heard a very large turnout is expected and from all walks of Scottish life. The March and Rally time has been revised to earlier than first planned by Glasgow City Council accordingly. www.banthebomb.org/index.php/component/eventlist/details/494-glasgow-demo-rally-spring-walk?Itemid=179

Good to see such a mix of my generation and much, much younger people out in George Square today Great speeches by Lesley Riddoch and Deputy FM Nicola Sturgeon. Strong, passionate and full of conviction: two great women who also paid tribute to Margo MacDonald today. It's time we stopped living in fear and rose above suspicion and mistrust that basically makes money for those who manufacture weapons of mass destruction. We don't want 'em here! If Westminster wants them, then let them base them on the Thames.
