Police in Scotland are told NOT to wear any badges or go to meetings about the Independence debate NOR are they to discuss it!!!!
What outright diabolical fucking arrogance.
House as Cheif Constable telling his officers this is a fucking outrage , he is already dislike with his constant purge against motorists while drug dealers are in great form.
Of course you see he promised he would double the money in fines if he was given the job of CC of the new Scottish Police Force. How absolutely sad when we have a chance with a new Cheif the Scottish Government chose a man whose PRIORITY was raising money through fines INSTEAD of CRIME, Drug dealers, Paedoes etc.,
Anyway, I HOPE the Scottish Government intercede and STOP this ABUSE OF POWER.

Everyone's a journalist now, given smartphones, ipads, internet etc.

People going about their *private* business, outwith work, are fair game it would seem.

I think people who have, in the course of their work, to remain impartial, are in danger of being caught out and used if they stick their heads, privately, above the parapet.

But I fail to see, Bormes, what action Police Scotland could actually take against any of their people coming down on one side or another politically in their private time?

What've you heard about that? Are people feeling intimidated?

Abuse of power, correct.
They are bullying their officers.
There will be a mess and accusations of corruption soon coming out, at senior level. JUSTYFIABLY!!
Innocent men have been discretely paid by the then Strathclyde Police and a murderer is STILL walking about and these senior officers KNOW.
