Fantastic boxing today, (will send you photos Oz) Great crowd, everyone had been cheered and had wonderful reception. I even got in with my wee YES Badge on, no one noticed it so it stayed on!! When the Scots Lads won their Golds and the Flower of Scotland was played it was just a magnificent occassion!! Northern Ireland and Australia did very well too. An accolade for the people who have organised these Games, they have done a wonderful job. A wee bit of inconveniance for some, a wee bit of stress for drivers with so many roads closed but the consensus of the huge majority is it was all worth it and medals aside I think the best part will be the amount of friends Scotland has made from all over the world. In Ashton Lane twice this week I personally have taken Photos for many couples and groups and the friendlieness has been totally magnificent. My wife has had her Photo taken with the Queens Baton and Kylie was in today where it is being held with the Australian Team HQ being there. Photos to come Oz. The Baton is being passed by Kylie to Oz at the ceremony tomorrow for them to take to Oz for the next Games. Wonderful, oh and plenty of Saltires but NO Yes Saltires only my wee badge, too small for them to see probably!!

Talking of Kylie getting baton for 2018 Commonwealth Games.
Do you think Scotland will be represented?
Do you think you will be a member of the Commonwealth?

Well Eire is not, therfore I suspect England will not invite Scotland, despite some countries being invited!! We will naturally be able to Enter the Olympics, European and World comps!!

Talking of Kylie getting baton for 2018 Commonwealth Games. Do you think Scotland will be represented? Do you think you will be a member of the Commonwealth? Why would we not be, come 2018, Oz? No matter which way the referendum goes?

No matter which way the referendum goes? You will have to apply for membership of the Commonwealth after Independence if you want to join. If not a member cant participate

If not a member cant participatenot quite the whole story - many "territories" compete the games that aren't members of the commonwealth - Isle of Man, Channel Islands, wales Scotland etc www.glasgow2014.com/commonwealth-family/commonwealth-games-associationsWhereas the actual commonwealth is made up of these countries thecommonwealth.org/member-countriesFunnily enough Scotland isn't a member of the commonwealth per se just now - just the games part

Scotland and others you mention are part of UK or its dependencies
Unless Scotland joins it will be like Eire not a member

Scotland and others you mention are part of UK or its dependencies Unless Scotland joins it will be like Eire not a member Eire refused membership Being a part of the uk or a crown dependency isn't a pre-requisite to joining the commonwealth or its separate sporting group. I see they've now done away with calling it the British Commonwealth, well just dropping the British bit.

Personally don't care. There are plenty of Games. is the right atitude - the unionists are trying to use it as another scare story thingy - along with bombing our airports, invasion from outer space etc
