Our First Minister, a lifelong fan of the game of golf, who played a significant part in the initiative to bring the Ryder Cup to Gleneagles this year, was today booed and jeered at by a small but vocal proportion of ticket holders. You'd have thought they might have had the good grace to recognise the economic benefits to Scotland of hosting the competition. Maybe they were terrified that, in an independent Scotland, they mighta had to pay a few pence more than £145 for their ticket Can't be having that, what what

WELL SAID. NO MANNERS FROM THESE PEOPLE. I remember people stamping on the Photo of Thatcher and I hated to see that. I thought the woman did very little for us in Scotland however the behaviour of some people was appaling as far as I can see.

Its disgusting!
He believed passionately in what he was doing .
He should be applauded for that by both sides not booed.
I feel heartily sorry for him to come so far and not win ... poor guy.. but the will of the people must be adhered to by all without rancour

I thought the woman did very little for us in Scotland however the behaviour of some people was appaling as far as I can see. Much as I despised the values of that Thatcher, I don't believe it's right to behave in that way. Just as I don't believe it's right for the press and media to demonise Alex Salmond for merely delivering what we elected him to do--and to elevate him into a hate figure for knuckledraggers such as these (albeit wealthy ones @ £145 per ticket!)--- www.newsnetscotland.scot/index.php/scottish-news/9797-ryder-cup-ceremony-soured-by-boos-from-anti-salmond-contingent
