Oh HELL yes, missus! She is so right. More from her: " The British education system inhabits a land of make-believe. The public is constantly told that standards are rising, reflected in annual, record-breaking improvements in exam results.
But as a teacher with more than a decade’s experience, I know all this is a grotesque illusion.
In truth, successive generations of children are being betrayed by a destructive ethos that promotes low expectations, indiscipline and lack of academic rigour in the classroom. Ever higher grades are not an indicator of success. They are a facade to cover inadequacy." www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-1319025/KATHARINE-BIRBALSINGH-I-wont-silenced-children-betrayed-schools.html?ito=feeds-newsxmlShe's bang on the money. Unfortunately, there is not a politician in the land, of any hue, that will seriously attempt to do a damn thing about any of this. It's not that they don't see that the emperor has no clothes - they won't even accept that there's any emperor to be observed! Scary.

I did not have the opportunity to do further education but even I notice the standard of education has dropped very badly, I employed around sixteen young women for a good number of years and the majority of them were graduates. I found that most of them could not do mental arithmetic, nor spell or even do grammar to even my low standard.
