A difficult and deeply upsetting week for us here in the WE. Today, I did what I always do on this particular weekend and went to the Botanics to visit the most beautiful Magnolia tree that comes into full bloom this time every year. Then a slightly odd thing happened. I wanted to sit awhile, but given the glorious weather, the place was full to bursting. All the benches were full but I spotted a couple in the far distance moving away so I fired up the hill and baggied their bench, as you do I'd not been in the Botanics since last summer so I noticed this particular bench seemed brand new. On it was a plaque to someone I know, having worked with him at TITP over the years, and who sadly succumbed to illness in his 40s last year. Coincidence? Random? Who knows. I just give in to bewilderment most days. Attachments:
