I am setting off shortly with Madam and dog to go boating for the weekend from our berth in Lochgoilhead. I shall be taking Christopher Brookmyre's latest and a new Jean Auel one. Depending on weather and tiredness I shall describe how they were.

Depending on weather and tiredness I shall describe how they were. I remember a friend recommending I should read Jean Auel's Clan of the Cave Bear and I did. I thought it was awful and have never read any more of that author's books. Am I missing out/ Have they got better? Do I care??
