Ach, Robin. Teetotal veggie yet still caught out by the bastard cancer. Yet again, the talented and gifted taken before their time while total bastards roam free, untouched and unchallenged. Don't get it, never will Goodnight, Rob and thank you for the music I grew up loving, still do-- and always will. Now playing chez Rolo; www.youtube.com/watch?v=XpqqjU7u5Yc&ob=av2n

..Barry son, what on earth have ye got doon yer breeks?? A wee aside. When Saturday Night Fever came out (summer 1977 I think) I had a student summer job in a jeans shack on Hope Street. We had SNF on a loop, all day every day. The gals and guys who worked there had one essential work tool. A shoelace. A laurel....and hardy handshake, to anyone that knows why. ;D

Our handy shoelace tool was used to shoehorn folks into their jeans, in the manner of Barry Gibb. ;D Insert lace into hole in zip doofer, pull upwards violently.. and presto! Jeans with a foot wide gap between hips mysteriously closed In particularly intransigent cases, the next trick was to get the client to lie down flat in the changing booth and repeat process. Then you'd to help them back on their feet again. TRUE! ;D ;D ;D

TRUE! ;D ;D ;D Acht.... that was nae use if you couldnae get the button fastened as well!! gawd, too-tight 1970s jeans.... cause of a thousand cases a minute of thrush... And the usual redtop 'alarm' about men who wore tight trousers being unable to conceive children due to overheating in the b*llocks region. Yeah, that was true. Not. Fashion's to blame for all the ills of society, doncha know . From Victorian lassies fainting from corsets (which also caused consumption don't you know... , to 70s funksters in overly tight jeans, to girls in high heels ruining their future foot-health. And of course dire warnings that men wearing winklepickers in the 60s would end up with bizarrely pointy feet. Ochone, ochone, what a terrible awful world we live in (cue piper giving it lament..) Specially if we have the fucking temerity to, you know, live a little ;D ;D ;D
