I'd give anything to stay a few more weeks here in Cat but hey Glasgow's calling. Ms Rolo's just turned 20 (we had a brill party here in Peretallada)but she's got her real party planned for our place this weekend.
Her boyf starts a new job in Merchant City on Friday too.
And Mr Rolo's on Burt Bacharach's Scottish gigs this weekend so I guess we're just gonna have to be on the plane outta Barca tomorrow night.
I'm totally dreading coming home to the usual mighty blast of cold air and having to put the heating on in June in Scotland.
Then again though I'm seeing BURT on Friday night so life's really not that bad actually... ;D ;D

And as predicted (oh, I'm good!...) arrived home to damp, cold Scotland and yeah, had to put the heating on toot sweet. Ma wee garden all overgrown (I guess it might have been raining?) and completely colourless, everything I planted before I left is battered and windblown, roses just hanging their waterlogged wee heads. BUT, Burt Bacharach last night is now in my top 5 gigs ever, in 43 years of gig-going. What a show. What a guy. Utter joy from start to finish. ;D ;D ;D His first ever gig in Glasgow, at 84, and he was loving the reception he got. The usual Glasgow heckles as in one lady giving it ' I love you Burt' to which he responded "Tell me how much after the gig". And of course, some wag gave it 'Gaun' yersel, Burt" Sublime music, the very best pop songs ever written IMO, and love and laughter throughout. Did ma wee heart good. ;D

And the party continued over the weekend. Last night to a really good gig of local bands, my big fave Roddy Hart, plus a whole load of new upcoming singer songwriters...Mr Rolo did the same excellent job on sound as he did the night before for the mighty Burt. Doesn't pay to get above yourself and give it all 'diva' you know And home in the wee small hours to find wean's birthday party a go-go. Lovely children who've been around chez Rolo since they were 5. Bizarrely I ended up DJing and introducing Daft Punk fans to Chic. Much dancing ensued ;D Finally at 4am we had a full rendition of Les Miserables accompanied by the hound out back... I've had THE best three weeks out of the office, back in tomorrow, a new woman. Resolve to be less of a wageslave and more like a person that has a fecking LIFE. HELL yeah.

We ventured up to the big city on Saturday for lunch at West Brewery, their St Mungoes beer is to die for, anyways they were advertising that Nile Rogers and Chic are playing there at the end of July I've been off since may 31st but start a new contract in Embra on Tuesday, back at same place. The time off, as you say has been great, so relaxin'
