Mr Rolo was raving about the half of it he'd seen on the plane back from NYC recently so we watched both halves tonight I was RIGHT BACK THERE in the late 70s for a couple of hours.....fantastically done, really authentic. Quite a complex plot (no bad thing!) about a couple of conpeople who're forced by the FBI to scam the Mafia and NJ councillors and senators by using a fake sheikh keen to invest in Atlantic City.. (apparently a true story..) The fashions, decor and music of the time just took me right back to a familiar place. Christian Bale, in the lead, was a revelation with that new fella Bradley Cooper unrecognisable. Two very strong female characters also, which makes a bloody change... And of course you can't have a movie that features the Mafia without You Know Who..no show without Punch..but De Niro was UNCANNILY like *Sam Giancana*, it was actually a bit freaky. V entertaining: if you get a chance to see it, I think you'll enjoy. And Oz can relive his safari suit days! Just don't mention the hair... pee ess: maybe I just WILL climb back into those 70s platform wedges. They're on sale everywhere this summer, I told the wean I had some just like it 40 years ago but I don't think she believed me... Ah, the 70s. SO very glam, we thought we were--and we probably were!

What IS it about Bradley Wiggins that men seem to like so much? Is it the *mod' hairstyle and exuberant sideys or what? Re Hair in American Hustle: Bradley Cooper's character in one scene applying a home perm on wee tiny rollers (well we all did it, didn't we, Nota? ) while Christian Bale's character is pretty much defined by his truly awful comb-over. See the movie, it's brilliantly done! Attachments:

Looks like a gorgeous person of whatever gender, Bormes Aren't we all gonna splurge our pensions on a set of veneers, Nota? I am and I don't even have a pension I'll tell you this though: every day I see the most fantastically great looking men out and about and almost all 50+. Some have hair, salt and pepper yes, and some don't. There's just something about lovely guys being comfortable in their skin and having a bit of personal style and confidence that's just so darned attractive. Other ladies of the forum feel free to agree or disagree!

Seriously.
