Hell yeah, I'm with the workers! Fuck the car!! - the city needs those snow clearers and they must of course take priority over private vehicles.
What a whiny git. Talk about missing the point!
What's the situation with regards to insurance in the states - do I remember the boyf telling mesomething along the lines of you don't need car insurance to be legally on the road...?

With a country like the US I would be very surprised if insurance was not compulsory, considering how quickly they seem to go to court over things.

In most states, insurance is compulsory. You can lose your liscense to drive and even spend time in jail if you are caught driving without it. You cannot liscense your vehicle in Texas without showing proof of insurance.
I haven't watched the clip yet, but the city said it would pay for the damage. Good luck to the guy getting the money sometime during his lifetime. I hope he doesn't need the car for work.
I just watched the clip. Those city workers are not unused to dealing with snow. The streets are made for parking as well as traffic. I'm glad he has it on tape.
