Here I've got R4 on all the time....how the hell did I miss trailers for this? I'd no idea he was due on!! Excellenty! Will almost certainly make up for the dismal standards to which The Archers (omnibus edition on before DID) has plummetted... Large teapot of tea, roll on egg & roll on veggie sausage, anna packet of Tunnocks Carmel Wafers in my hoose! Thanks for posting this news. Wonder why this didn't get the heavy duty trailers... but then, I can prolly guess

I never heard any trailers either Westie. Got a message earlier tonight re DID from Janice Forsyth; thanks J, I'd have missed it otherwise. I'll give you your Caramel Wafers, Westie, and raise you a crumpet (Scottish style, not yer English muffin nonsense) wi raspberry jam made out of Angus raspberries---and unsalted Scottish butter from Scottish coos living in Scotland ;D Or maybe two Eck has the most amazing radio voice, far less strident than at FM's questions. I'm away to my bed noo and look forward to hearing him being the utterly decent man that he is on the R4 tomorrow.

(At the risk of sounding a tad elsewhere...!) See when you say a crumpet, do you mean a big very soft flat thing, wi a 'bubbly' surface, that you can put jam on & roll up into a tube.... (like the thing on the right in this pic) ...or do you mean a sort of thicker thing, Scotch pancake sized but thicker, wi bubbles on just one surface that the butter melts into, like this? It'll be grand to hear him hopefully a wee bit relaxed and no having to be dealing wi dunderheids. I hope he disnae play shite! Wonder what his luxury'll be...

Ah the cute! Ozneil says not to mention food, so Westie then mentions Baker Street. ;D Or was that AS's luxury? I had thought it was some kind of golf stick.
Happy Birthday!
I am hungry now. Oh rats, and I was just going to have a bath. But tat calls with greedy snacks.

Happy Birthday m'dear! Since you enquire, there's only one crumpet worthy of the name IMHO---and it's of course the big flat one you can roll up. The others are Pretendy Crumpets. Did you listen to the show this morning? What did you think?

Happy happy birthday, Westie.
Those look like pancakes to me (in my region we call 'em hot cakes).
