AUSTRALIA deserves the football world cup down there. Considering some of the places the world cup has been it would be nice to be in a pro western civilised country. The country also has a world class reputation for organising events. Not least but they do have an advert telling us all to come to Australia, and she is very convincing, Miss Kidman indeed.

Only snag as far as I can see is Oz aint a "soccer" country. Also the distance between cities is large Eg Sydney to Brisbane 10-11 hours hard drive 950 km Sydney Melbourne 7-8 hours 850km We follow Ozzie Rules or Rugby League. However would love to see it here and Im sure we could be converted for a while.

Here! They've got a dug show! Collies and sheepdugs, presumably. That's a good thing. We don't have dugs at oor games. Dug trials are usually only at the agricultural shows.

Could be any where
The local fire brigade station caught fire while all the firies were out fighting a fire.
Local residents hopped over the fence and using firemen's hoses put the fire out. Meanwhile someone had dialed triple O (999) and a fire engine came racing back to deal with it. By the time they got back, with sirens wailing & lights flashing, the fire was out and the neighbours were lining the road applauding them.
I believe the red on the firies' faces was matched only by the red on the fire engins

Yes I do very popular here. Up until a few years ago the had repeats of the Goon Show on Radio every Saturday (Spike Milligan's mum lived at Woy Woy)
One of the TV stations is running Brit "Clasic Comedies" from 60s & 70s.
Man about the house
George & Mildred
Benny Hill
Fawlty towers
Love Thy Neighbour.
Some are still very funny some are a bit dated
