Love that, Oz! And in a similar vein, here's Scotland's Brass Jaw--- whose mission was to travel the Glasgow-London train, getting off at all the stops for an impromptu set, while also entertaining the passengers enroute. For to promote Glasgow's International Jazz Festival and their own not inconsiderable skills www.youtube.com/watch?v=tqnfeQEfr3A

They are good A few years ago we had 2 young girls, students at the Conservatorium of Music in Sydney. They used to play classical violin duets on the Manly ferry every morning (The Manly ferries are big carry 1.100 passengers on 2 decks) to entertain the passengers on the 1/2 hour crossing and make a few bob. Busking on the ferries is strictly verboten so the crews always confiscated their bags and other stuff as soon as they got on board and locked them away and wouldfnt give them back until they reached Circular Quay (City Centre). For some reason they forgot to confiscate the violins Everyone enjoyed it until some mean spirited bastard dobbed them in!!!

Bit on Radio this morning
Lady accidentally locked her toddler in car. She didnt panic she phoned NRMA (equiv AA ). Explained situation to operator who promised to have a man there ASAP. He arrived within 10 minutes. Lady asked how long it would take. Guy said 1 second as he put hand in open window and unlocked door. Much laughter but no recriminations only sympathy for the lady and reassurance that she had acted properly.
It was the lady that phoned in to publicly thank NRMA for their quick response

I wonder if the Clutha will re open ? Important part of itinerary for visitors to Rawlinson End. If the building was dangerous they'd have turn it down and built flats by now ?? Or I it still a crime scene?? Ye Clutha Vintage ! by Dave Trott, on Flickr Playin' The Clutha by Dave Trott, on Flickr

Yer right, if it was unsafe there would have been moves to demolish it ASAP
There's obviously an ongoing enquiry into the crash just now but that's an AAIB enquiry and shouldn't have any bearing on the building itself, as its the aircraft that crashed into it.
There may or may not be an FAI into the deaths but that wont really happen until the AAIB complete
As you know we don't have coronors courts or inquests under Scots Law, nearest thing is an FAI and they aren't mandatory.
Probably down to insurance companies to wrangle over a rebuild or demolition?

If I were building owner I would be pushing Imsurance companies for demolition so I could build a bigger (higher) building on the site.
It looks like a great site
Is the building itself badly damaged?

A nice little snippet from NZ. Cops arent all bastards.
On a public holiday an elderly gentleman was driving home from visiting daughter. He was in a small South Island town about an hour , hour and a half from home when he had an accident, not his fault, which put his car off the road. In Country NZ on a public holiday public transport is non-existent so the cops stopped trucks on highway till they found one going to Timauru and got the old guy a lift home. The old guy was waiting the cop shop and then driven to the highway where his lift was waiting.

I imagine the owner of the pub is acting with huge sensitivity here re how he goes forward. Respect to him for that.

Seemingly the walls not collapsing saved a lot of folk, they are really thick as they used o hold up the tenement that used to be above it, can't remember why that was demolished to leave just the pub that was the ground floor

Why does Pistorious keep calling the prosecutor "m'lady"? Is it because he represents the queen?

Why does Pistorious keep calling the prosecutor "m'lady"? Is it because he represents the queen? No he is addressing the judge who is a lady. All answers are given through the court. Here it would be to the jury not the judge as it seems to be in RSA I dont think South Africa is one of the 16 Commonwealth nations that still recognises the Queen as head of state
