The Bridge over the Silvery Tay looking marvellous there, Sir Hank! You got any *cherry blossom/azalea/rhodie* glory in your archive? I could be doing with a wee seasonal update on the banner there! I have one lilac, one pink and one red about to burst into bloom, might try out the iPad camera if only the bloody sun would come back

Excellent photies once again In your first one you can see some of the posts from the old timber ponds - were they used to store logs for shipbuilding an export - if you go up river a bit you'll see large poles with big ? on the top - these are in memory of George Wylie of paper boat, straw locomotive fame. In your photie of the pier/jetty - this is actually the old pier from Lamonts shipyard ( they built and repaired ships) that used to be there before - Newark Castle was in between two shipyards Fergusons which is still in existence and the afore mentioned Lamonts Fergusons still builds ships, you should get yourself along to a launch, they are open to the public - I couldhelp you out if you have any queries there as one of my friends is the yard manager Have you managed to get any photies of Scotts drydock - its next to the T-Mobile/EE call centre - right across from the main Cigna office. It's the oldest dry-dock in the world and has been left to fall into a state of disrepair There are moves afoot again to put an Oberon class submarine into it - HMS Onyx which is currently lying at Rosneath waiting to be scrapped
