Seeing Sir Hank's post on another thread, I've just investigated the loss of the original Photos thread.
I've got to hold my hand up here, I think I must have made one hellavan error.
Every evening, I take out spam posts and bar the membership of the spammers. As we all know, they hit multiple threads quite randomly so I have to go through em bit by bit.
I can only think that what I must have done, by utter mistake, is hit Delete Thread instead of Delete Post. I can't believe I've done that: such a favourite thread for everyone here. I feel terrible about it.
Look, I'm trying to find if I can retrieve it via Proboards but in the meantime, I've opened up a new one here.
I'm so sorry, everyone. <hits self with big stick, deeply embarrassed..>

oH bugger.
Dont worry about it
It happens, forget it, no one is going to hold it against you. We hope you will still continue keeping the joint clean and tidy
We all make mistakes, me more than most, and It only happened because you were trying to keep us all clear of spammers which we all very much appreciate.

I just have certain admin permissions.

I just have certain admin permissions. Hopefully westie will respond quick, as I doubt their backups will be held for any great length of time before being deleted. In thoery they should be able to just restore that thread itself but depends on how the backup works

Yes, that's the ticket to start again. I doubt that anyone had the only copy of a picture up on here. At least I hope not.

Ah Greenock again -the big bulk carrier that broke down after discharging a load of coal at Hunterston - it could only sail in reverse. This is at the bottom of the street were thon mad wummin was "attacked" by 13th Stuka Squadron of the Seagull Air Force ( Greenock Wing) On the left of the photie is the entrance to the council coup that attracts said seagulls

Interesting Is it going to be repaired or scrapped? Repaired apparently, not holding my breath though..............we'll see though as there's no where local to scrap it and it can only sail backwards under its own power, towing it to a dismantler will cost a fortune
