The epithet Gorgeous was gifted by the media, who took exception to him saying once he'd had a rather interesting time with the ladies on holiday in Greece ;D In truth, even in his younger days, and up close ;D I would not term him Gorgeous in terms of looks Stylish perhaps. Charismatic, yes. I think a lot of women, myself included, find him an attractive man, because of his intelligence, erudition and personal beliefs. And for having the courage of his well-argued convictions. Men don't tend to like him very much. Funny that.

Fair comment. However worth remembering, shirley, that just as not all Roman Catholic priests are paedophiles and not all Christians are evangelists, not all Islamic people are fundamentalists. The following of Islam cannot be anything other than absolutely fundamental. Islam is all about, and only about, spreading Islam. The job of each and every Muslim is to convert the infidels. The infidels who will not convert are to be killed. That's their law; the core of their faith. The core tenet of Islam is that their unsavoury and unpleasant scripture is the literal word of god, therefore the whole of the law, and is perfect and unimprovable. A true Muslim cannot - may not - live other than by that law. Any so-called Muslim who does not believe those fundamentals is about as Muslim as I am Catholic. There is a big difference between Islam and any of the other Abrahamic religions. And the inquizishun never harmed a hair on anyone's head whatsoever..................... If you are a true believer of any religion, you should be a fundamentalist, you cannot in all truth to that religion be anything else. Anything other than following the exact tenets of any religion is hypocrisy, it's just moving the goalposts to suit. If you read the bible there is much that isn't practiced, just because it is now illegal or unfashionable and they are every bit as nasty as some of the stuff from the Quran

your'e right nota. I even remember at school being told we don't read the old testament any more, it's not for us said the teacher?? Regards GG, I don't think for a nano second he has the courage of his convictions. I do think he is a very clever erudite all round good speaker, however he is no more honest about his beliefs than any other poly, blair and broon were. I knowing his background do not trust him he is as dishonest as bliar. However I have the advantage of knowledge of him. In saying that I like very much how he has a go at the settled take us for granted other polys.
