The BBC ARE PART OF THE CABAL OF WESTMINSTER COMPLETELY NOW. Sarah Smith being Parachuted in to take over the young Lad's job who was a good journalist is another move of control by them. I find her an overbearing fast talking interrupting big mouthed egotistical poor journalist.

Anas, or starwars as he is now known was booed and heckled, he had to leave the stage before finishing his patter. Seems like Glasgow kids DO NOT TRUST him, nor labour from labour UK!! Yeah I saw a clip of that on facebook -funny how the BBC forgot that too? Yes, I have it from young people who were there that Labour MP Anas Sarwar was booed off the stage. It is disgusting-- if not unexpected-- that the BBC has not given fair coverage to the protests that've happened in Scotland, England and elsewhere this weekend. I took an afternoon out today to sit in the Botanic Gardens cafe, catching up with my mother, sister and Ms Rolo. A small oasis of calm: families out together playing games on the grass, tiny children chasing pigeons, beautifully crafted floral displays in the gardens. The madness retreated for a couple of hours.... But home now, and catching the news of the increasing horror of the Israeli land invasion of Gaza. The terrible civilian casualties, the emergency services workers fraught and desperate, trying to cope. We all know the US won't intervene as their successive governments always pledge support to the Israelis. UK government will not risk upsetting the US. I can only look forward to the day Scotland starts to make its own INDEPENDENT political decisions--- and I'd applaud Humza Yousaf's statement yesterday re our humanitarian offer.

Given the *taking over* of referendum broadcasting by the BBC in London, it does appear that our parochial wee journalists, no matter how good, are being told they're not quite good enough, somehow, to comment on such an important matter. Watch THAT backfire *gets popcorn*

I might not be too sure about that, Nota.
They might *hope* we've all been distracted by events in Ukraine but it wouldn't be true, really.
Re the media coverage of Gaza, try switching between BBC, Sky and Aljazeera to get some kind of perspective on what's going on.
Forget the US networks, you'll only get coverage aimed at those with an IQ in single figures, interspersed with human interest stories, delivered by picture perfect presenters, of cute family pets doing cute sh*t.

They pulled the same thing during the falklands conflict - only that time they invaded ( illegally yet again) Lebanon

Agree with you Nota however BOTH sides MUST have a cease fire and I had the idea that a dozen mothers from both sides who had lost relatives should negotiate instead of the leaders who both have blood all over them, maybe like N.I. there is a chance the negotiations will be for the people rather than on behalf of the Arms dealers and Multi National Corporations who want to keep the land illegally??

550 Palestinian people have been killed in recent days, 100 of them children. We learned today that a hospital in Gaza was shelled by the Israelis, killing five. The *official* excuse being that Hamas had weapons stored nearby. 25 Israeli soldiers have lost their lives and two Israeli citizens. EVERY life lost is one too many. All seen,no doubt, as collateral damage by those who control events remotely, in the safety of their bunkers and of course none of THEIR children are in the frontline... Maybe we do need to fight fire with fire. I imagine every mother who's conceived, carried and nurtured a child would, like me, physically tear apart anyone who took them from us. Except we're supposed to be dignified and well-behaved, docile even, in our grief. Try telling that to a lioness whose cubs are threatened. We women need to revert to our basic instincts and not be troubled by mens' views of how we should behave.

And the deeply troubling news just gets worse.
Now, Israel have seen fit to blow apart a school building where 3000 Palestians were taking refuge; a designated UN shelter.
Hundreds killed and maimed, civilians in the main and so many children. Israeli government continue to insist they've given warnings for civilians to move out but THEY HAVE NO SAFE PLACE TO GO! Because the borders are closed.
Economic sanctions against Israel are in force at government level in many countries now. But we also, in our wee small daily reality, have to take whatever action we can, shirley?
Today, I cancelled a service to our office--Eden Water-who supply our watercoolers. They are an Israel based company whose profits are redirected there.
It cost me a few bob in cancellation fees but it's money well spent in my view. I WILL NOT endorse any regime that indiscriminately murders civilians.

The shameful murderous acts of the zionists mustn't go unpunished - but they will as to many governments are in awe of the pariah state of Israel - they have been in breach of multiple UN resolutions for decades but are never ever punished - unlike any other country the yanks don't like who are punished punitively - if not by invasion then by drone strikes and sanctions - But then again if the yanks/uk did help gaza militarily it would end up another Libya, Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq - you know beacons of democracy, tolerance, safety
But alas much more mileage for the West in spewing shite and lies about Putin to achieve nothing apart from a few headlines in shite papers allowing the zionist murderers to do as they please - its not as if no one knows that they have a track record in murdering weans - much like the nazis did to them

Get a grip, NOT all Jewish people are murderers, yes they have as a State been unbelievably ruthless, I put that down to how Jews have been treated through the ages by almost every country. Just as Hamas are as evil in their bombing of children on school buses we could go on and on about who did what. Hamas have the attention of the world just now with a huge PR Coupe, but they should have a cease fire and STOP firing rockets, that way they will gain even more support and then the nutters in Israel who want the whole of Palestine with no Palestinians around, will have no excuse to return fire! The peace is more important than the blame at the moment. I can not think of any race or group of people who have been murdered and mistreated more than the Jews so please stop preaching about Hamas as though they were blameless, they are NOT. Ordinary Palestinians are blameless and the West particularly the US Should be doing more to help!

I'm not blaming the jews for anything, far from it, there's a huge difference between being a jew and being a zionist - not all jews are zionists, just like not all zionists are jewish. The parliamentary zionist "friends of Israel" groups have populated by the majority of MPs on both the tory and LIEBOOR-SCUM side - broon-nosing the zionists is a good way to get ahead in the two parties, these two groups have sizeable budgets to pay for "fact-finding" trips to Israel Through marriage I have some jewish relatives, the sons are zionists - leaving Scotland to fight in the Israeli Defence Force as soon as they were old enough - but then again they always were prize pricks wae the collective IQ of a dog's shite, you know the type, same as the nutters who've, in the past became gunmen for the UDA, IRA or similar

So its back to this HAMAS has the avowed aim of driving all Jews into the sea irrespective "of innocent blood spilled" and have been working to this end for years. Israel is fighting for its very existence (remember what you did when you were fighting for your existence before critising) This is the mind set they are fighting www.liveleak.com/view?i=44e_1406655216www.liveleak.com/view?i=190_1406399936They are evil and Israel is on front line
